Overview
Objective:
Improve e-commerce user experience by analyzing user behaviors and addressing platform pain points.
User Research:
First, we established our research goals. Following that, we conducted interviews with active e-commerce users. We asked them five different questions to gain insights into their challenges. we then categorized all the answers into four distinct themes. This process led us to uncover nine key findings. Subsequently, we proposed 4 'How Might We' questions to guide our design decisions.
Concepts & Sketching
Following our research and analysis, we commenced designing the visual layout of our app, with a concentrated focus on our four primary pages. This involved carefully crafting each page to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly interface that aligns with our research findings and design objectives.
Prototyping:
After completing our initial sketches, we advanced to creating high-fidelity mockups, meticulously refining each design element. Through this process, we managed to assemble a comprehensive prototype that includes all of the app's screens, providing a detailed and interactive representation of the final product.
Usability:
Conducted usability testing with real users to gather feedback on the prototype. Identified areas for improvement based on user feedback, including navigation, shopping cart accessibility, and payment flow clarity.
Iteration:
Refined the design based on usability testing insights. Implemented necessary adjustments to improve user experience, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive interface for the second version of the app.
