Overview
Objective:
Design an intuitive and visually engaging podcast platform UI that delivers summarized Arabic news as audio content. The goal was to ensure seamless navigation, efficient content discovery, and an optimized listening experience.
Brand Identity & Visual Design
I worked on Al Khaima’s brand identity, ensuring a cohesive and culturally relevant visual experience. The branding incorporates Sadu patterns, symbolizing heritage and tradition while maintaining a modern aesthetic. The overall design reflects the concept of a traditional tent, seamlessly blending heritage with digital innovation. For typography, I selected IBM Plex Sans Arabic and Tajawal, ensuring readability and a contemporary look. The color palette was carefully curated to maintain a balance between authenticity and digital elegance. I also designed the logo, iconography, and brand assets, creating a consistent and recognizable identity across the platform.
Wireframing & Structure
Starting with low-fidelity wireframes, I mapped out core user flows and interactions, focusing on intuitive navigation and accessibility. The wireframes laid the foundation for key features such as content discovery, playback controls, and user preferences.
High-Fidelity Prototypes
Using the wireframes as a foundation, I developed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, focusing on usability, consistency, and visual aesthetics. I built a comprehensive component library and used an icon library to ensure uniformity across the design. To maintain a structured layout, I applied the 8-point grid system, ensuring alignment and spacing consistency throughout the interface. Additionally, I incorporated Sadu patterns to reflect cultural authenticity, visually embedding the platform’s identity with regional influences.
